Accessibility at Purple Mountain Bed & Breakfast

Our home is a historic 1920s mining office that has welcomed guests since the 1970s. We love its character, but its age means it has real physical barriers, and we want you to know them before you book.

We do not have ADA-accessible guest rooms.

Entrances:

  • Front door: 5 steps, with handrails on both sides.

  • Back door: 2 steps up to the deck, then 2 more steps to the door, with a grab bar beside the door.

  • There is no step-free entrance.

First floor: The main room, reception desk, and dining room (where breakfast is served) are all on the first floor. The first-floor hallway has a few steps.

Guest rooms: Five of our six rooms are on the second floor, reached by stairs only (no elevator). Our one first-floor room, Teocalli King Room, has a few steps between the bedroom and its bathroom.

Service animals: Trained service dogs are always welcome at no charge, regardless of size or breed, as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Emotional support, therapy, and comfort animals are not service animals and fall under our standard pet policy.
