*The Purple Mountain Lodge Bed and Breakfast was originally built in 1927 as the office for the Crested Butte Mine. The Crested Butte Mine was the heart and sole of Crested Butte for eight decades before closing in 1958. The building was moved from the mine to the town of Crested Butte in the 1970’s. The building was remodeled and has become Crested Butte’s longest running bed and breakfasts currently celebrating 35 years of hosting guests to Crested Butte.

The Purple Mountain Bed and Breakfast is the perfect lodging for the true Crested Butte experience in summer and winter. In every season, this bed and breakfast gives guests a chance to touch Crested Butte’s history while enjoying modern day comforts.

“I pride myself on creating a guest experience that brings my guests back to my bed and breakfast year after year.” -Chris Haver, Owner/Operator
