One of the big reasons I love running a bed and breakfast in Crested Butte is that I enjoy sharing all the great things that this town and the surrounding wilderness have to offer.

US Pro Cycling Challenge
August 23, 2011

This week the US Pro Cycling Challenge came through town during Stage one of the race that they finished on the mountain. It was amazing after watching the Tour de France all July to see many of the same riders in our town. We went to watch them ride down Elk Avenue at speeds I have never seen anyone do on our “15mph” streets. It was truly an experience to have them here.

Moon Over Mt. Crested Butte

I admit it, I just liked this shot of Crested Butte Mountain with the moon rising and the setting sun shining on its peak.
