Crested Butte Vacation Travel Blog

Welcome to the Purple Mountain’s Crested Butte Vacation Travel Blog

To help you make the most of your vacation, this page is designed to give me an opportunity to share with you all that is going on in Crested Butte. As I get out on the trails or head out around town, I will periodically add my activities to this page. Feel free to make comments or ask questions. One of the big reasons I love running a bed and breakfast in Crested Butte is that I enjoy sharing all the great things that this town and the surrounding wilderness have to offer.

May 30, 2011

Here is a shot of some of the equipment we offer our mountain biking guests. We offer a wash station with a variety of brushes, a work stand with tools and a storage shed to keep your bikes inside at night. We are bikers ourselves and would be more than happy to help you get on the best trails.

Mountain Biking in Crested Butte
May 28, 2011

Because of the snowiest May that we have had in years, the trails are just now opening up. Here is a shot of the Upper Loop trailhead with the snowy peak of Mount Crested Butte behind it.

Crested Butte Restaurant Week June 3-10
May 11, 2011

Crested Butte Restaurant Week is the perfect time to visit and explore all the incredible food our town has to offer. With close to 30 restaurants offer specials, you just can't go wrong. Been here before and had an eye on a restaurant that was just out of your price range? Now's the time to check it out! Special pricing this week is based on town's altitude of 8885 feet. Most restaurants are offering multi-course dinners for $88.85 for four people or $22.21 per person. A few of our finest dining establishments are offering $88.85 a couple and several other places are offering $8.85 lunch specials. This is the week I will be out every night enjoying what new dishes each place will be offering this summer. Look for my upcoming posts!
